The role description:
The Group Technical Specialist will be part of the Corporate R&D team, located in Hofors.
The role is to support across the Ovako Group with special competence with regards to process metallurgy, in order to continue to build the knowledge about the relation between steel making and steel quality.
The role will focus in the early stage of the production, but also involve working with the downstream production chain and taking into consideration customer application performance.

Your background and success factors:
We believe you have background in process metallurgy, holding a MSci or PhD int the subject.
In addition, you have working experience in this field in an industrial environment.

To be successful in this role, you have deep knowledge in electric arc furnace processes and ladle metallurgy and degassing, and as well knowledge in casting processes and hot working processes.

Furthermore, you have interest in working with scientific methods to find relations between steel making and properties as well as developing advanced quantification techniques.

The role will include business travel in Sweden and Finland to Ovako´s production sites.
