Our company and industry are evolving and therefore we are looking to recruit a new Field Sales to cover our Eastern Europe regions with focus on opportunities in the countries Czech Republic and Slovakia.  

This is a key role within Ovako and a unique opportunity to join a company with a long history and great ambitions for the future, being in the forefront within sustainable steel, serving a broad range of industries and advanced applications.  

What you will do 

As Ovakos next field sales you will be working on with all our sales opportunities in Region Eastern Europe to generate continued revenue and growth in the region.  

You will be part of a motivated global sales team and report to Sales Manager Eastern Europe. The role can be based either in based in Czech or Slovakia and you will work from a home office.   

Main objectives include;  

  • Generate sales growth in your market 
  • Understand needs and objectives and proactively work to provide customer solutions that are aligned with Ovakos offering and values, especially around those who value CO2-free steel 
  • Together with technical support, product line managers at the mills, R&D etc work to resolve customer queries and resolve issues. 
  • Negotiate terms, price and set-up agreements 
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare sales forecasts 
  • Answer RFIs and RFQs from the customer 

What you bring 

Our values and culture are important at Ovako and therefore your personal traits and cultural fit in this role will be important when assessing candidates. We also believe that communication and collaborations skills and ability to build relationships will be key to your success. Other important traits are results driven, business acumen, problem solving, project management and analytical skills.  

Formal requirements include; 

  • Commercial experience (eg from field sales, account management, technical support) 
  • Experience from steel industry or related with proven senior level contract negotiations. 
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering related field 
  • Proficient in Czech language and English are required.
