Master’s Thesis Work at Ovako
Each fall semester, Ovako publishes its available Master’s thesis projects during August and September of the previous year. Interviews are then conducted continuously throughout October, and by November most Master’s theses are usually filled.

At Ovako, we welcome students every year who want to grow, contribute, and be part of the ongoing transformation within the steel industry. Our doors are always open to those who want to write their Master’s Thesis with us – with or without their own idea.
Who are we looking for?
We primarily seek Master of Science engineering students in materials science/metallurgy, mechanical engineering, process engineering, industrial management, automation, and energy/environment.
But! We also welcome students with other technical or scientific backgrounds—what matters most is your interest and your willingness to contribute.

We know that a Master’s Thesis is an important part of your education – and we take it seriously. Therefore, we offer compensation per academic credit, housing opportunities during the period, and support for travel to and from our facilities. The recruitment process
Selection is ongoing. During the process, you will have the opportunity to meet supervisors, relevant managers, and other key individuals. The process also includes interviews, tests, and reference checks.
