Ovako group has started the journey to establish a global IT application management organisation.  The key targets are a strategic alignment between business and IT, ability to execute on the IT business plan and cost-efficient IT service deliveries. The position is a direct recruitment. AxÖ Consulting is managing the recruitment process, but you will be employed directly by Ovako.

Job description

The role as Application Specialist Quintiq & MES will be an ideal fit if you prefer to include others, as well as colleagues as suppliers, when solving daily operational issues. Based on your earlier experience and expertise, you will be given the opportunity to further develop your knowledge with focus on Quintiq and production/MES applications. As Application Specialist Quintiq & MES you will be responsible for ensuring a stable and efficient development and maintenance of Quintiq Company Planner and Quintiq Scheduler. In addition, you will have a supporting role regarding a couple of production/MES applications. You will also take full responsibility for the daily operation of Quintiq and to a certain degree some production/MES applications, such as incident/problem/change/release handling, CAB/Deploy meetings, etc. You are the main contact person for both users and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Academic education in IT, or other education that the employer considers suitable
  • You are well acquainted with the needs and demands of business and use dialogue and cooperation as your main tools in meeting these demands.
  • Production/MES application experience
  • Application Management experience
  • Strong knowledge in ITIL or equivalent framework
  • Good skills in both Swedish and English

Meritorious:

  • Experience in process manufacturing, preferably from the steel industry.
  • Background as IT project manager and/or as IT system developer
  • MS Dynamics AX/365 experience

To be successful in this role, you´re comfortable to be at the centre of action and you are capable to handle as well as unexpected challenges, as long-term commitments.  You have experience of document handling, with keeping track of details and regularly reporting how the work is progressing. You feel confident working in a multicultural environment and speaking English.   As the work involves numerous of national and international contact areas, skills in relationship-building, collaborating, prioritizing and structuring are key. Since you cherish qualitative delivery according to time-plans, you´re comfortable with setting and follow up demands both internally as well as towards suppliers.

Optional location in either Hofors, Örebro, Hallstahammar, Smedjebacken, Boxholm or Hällefors. Stockholm can also be an alternative for the right candidate, but travels to Smedjebacken and Boxholm on a weekly basis is required.
